Somebody from Dublin, referring to a period when Dubliners were more socially connected to the British than the rest of Ireland, hence became known as Union Jack-eens

The term orginated at the turn of the
twentieth century when Queen Victoria
visited Dublin, and the people lined the
streets waving Union Jack flags.
Henceforth,
Dublin people were known as Jackeens [as
